Jhauri Kami a permanent residence of Palata rural municipality-9, Thirpu who is physically disabled and from vulnerable household with very weak financial status. She has total 11 numbers of members in her family. Her husband Mr. Nanda Bahadur B.K. seasonally migrated to India for short term employment to fulfil their basic need.
As per the recommendation of local government on the month of May 2022 CAFS-Karnali project organized ten days’ skill training on handicraft to the person with disabilities. Those persons were trained for knitting sweater, cap, scarf and shocks from wools. On that program, Jhauri Kami also acquired knowledge and skill for making those goods.
Today, she enjoys her business selling such knitted goods in local market earning 2-3 thousand rupees in a month which has supported for her basic needs, children education like stationary, dress, bag, etc. She is become an example and entrepreneurs in her community. She expresses her heartfelt gratitude to CAFS-Karnali Project and HuRENDEC-Nepal for affording her the opportunity to learn, evolve into an entrepreneur.
