An Art Collection on Climate Change-2016

Project sponsor TDG/BMZ Germany, Implementation partner HuRENDEC Nepal and associate organizations MCDC Mugu and RPUDP Humla are harmonize members of this beautiful, innovative publication named as “An Art Collection on Climate Change-2016”. It is the output of SURHR project running in 50 Himalayas community of Karnali Region (Kalikot-30, Mugu-10 and Humla-10 VDCs).

Per VDC 2 clubs (One Youth and One Child), total of 100 clubs are formation, where 14329 participants are directly participates in the variety of training activities. During the period of 4 years, 100 clubs are participated in art competitions; in this book only best 49 arts are included.

We are optimist; it would play effective medium to make awareness on Climate Change and Environment. It is the beautiful gift of SURHRP team including responsible organizations.

World Environment Day Celebration – June-5, 2016

HuRENDEC Kalikot celebrated the world Environment day by performing a Street drama Named- SAVE ENVIRONMENT at Manma Kalikot on June -5, 2016. Before the street drama there was a morning rally organised at Manma Bazar. Representatives form government office, Human Rights Activities, School children, teachers including community people participated in rally and enjoyed the informative drama for environment protection. Moreover HuRENDEC has also organised Art Competition among the child club members and students on CLIMATE CHANGE AND RENEWABLE ENERGY. Public Hearing Program at Pangretar VDC , Sindhuhpalchowk

Under the Reconstruction and Rebuilding of lives in Sindhupalchowk implemented in partnership wih GMSP- sindhupalchowk in support of TDH-NL/Grmany by HuRENDEC, a public hearing program WAS  organised at Pangretar VDC, on 3 rd Ashar 2073. The program was run in chairmanship of VDC secretary / Chairman Mr. Pasupati Gauda. Mrs. Jaya Devi Khadka, President of GMSP, Political parties representatives , chief of wada citizen forum, CBOs representative including other stakeholder were present at the program. A detail presentation was delivered by Program Coordinator Hari Prasad Timsina  from HuRENDEC. After the presentation issues were addressed by program coordinator and Sumitra Adhikari, focal person from GMSP. 3kw Pico- Hydro Installed at Chhapre-1, Bali, Kalikot.


The project was constructed by Renewable Energy Water and Sanitation Company Pvt. Ltd. Kalikot in support of Sustainable Utilization of Resources in Himalayan Project (BMZ/TDH Germany) in social mobilization of Human Rights and environment Development Center (HuRENDEC) Kalikot.This is one of the model projects in the sense that there was active participation of community people for its installation including the financial contribution. In the total cost of the project 50 percent cost was contributed from the community. After the completion of the project opening ceremony was organized by Mul Khola Micro Hydro Users Committee, Bali. The project was inaugurated by parliamentarian Mr. Tula Raj Bista, chief guest of the program, in the presence of Mr. Pradip Shrestha(CDO), DSP including other representatives from governmental and nongovernmental organization. Through the project in total 100 household are benefited.
