Strengthening health institutions and youth networks to reduce impact of Covid-19
Background
The program was designed during Global pandemic of novel corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and Omicron is increasingly alarming. It was spread all over Nepal, with a rapid increase in the number of new cases and deaths, which was distressing in a low-income country with an inadequate healthcare system like Nepal. So, we were designed the project. Its main objective was to support rural health institutions and support to marginalize and COVID affected families.
Major Activities
Project orientation and Meeting with R/Municipality and Community Level, Support items distribution, beneficiaries’ finalization through coordination with LG and health institution.
Major Achievements
- Supported to local needy people who could not get earn due to jobless and post COVID syndrome, were benefitted properly in time
- Altogether 431 marginalized and COVID affected needy families got emergency food and nutrition package, hygiene kits, nutritious foods and emergency kits for home isolation
- Health institutions also got the technology and heath items like Oxygen cylinder, Oxygen flow meter, IR thermometer , Pulse ox-meter, Sodium hydrochloride, Sanitize Spray tank , Surgical/ clothes Mask, protective material for health personnelÂ
- Health institutions and local health service receivers also benefitted from the provided items
