Narrative Description of Project: The project was developed after devastating earthquake of 25th April 2016. The infrastructures were damaged due to earthquake. School, drinking water supply system, health post, child friendly spaces and almost all the individual houses were collapsed. So, the small endeavor towards the humanitarian aid was developed. HuRENDEC worked with local partner Grameen Mahila Srijanshil Pariwar (GMSP)
Objectives of the Project: The objective of the project was to rebuild and reconstruct of earthquake damaged site and revive 1000 children and 600 families rehabilitated and restored their livelihood
Major Achievement: Around 600 HHs got CGI sheets were distributedOne community hall at Pangretar, Majhigaun constructed300 pregnant and lactating women got food WASH and NFI itemsAround 400 children got WASH and NFI Items50 HHs got support for livestock after training, 50 got seed money for vegetables14 water supply schemes maintained including 2 lifting projects8 schools got support for office/educational/construction materialsOne Veterinary health camp organized at PangretarDifferent mobile health camps and support in coordination with local health officePractice of public hearing (completed in Pangretar VDC)Awareness on disaster preparedness program through cultural activitiesPsychosocial counseling for children at schools, regular meetings and sharing with child networks and clubs
