Adapting to Climate-Induced Threats to Food Production and Food Security in the Karnali region of Nepal (CAFS) program

The program has been launched from 1 st April, 2018 to till 31 December, 2020. The objective of the program
is to adapt climate induced threats for food production and security. The program is supported by Nepal
Government, UN World Food Program (WFP) and Adaptation Fund (AF). The program areas are the two rural
municipalities (Palata and Pachaljhalajharana) of Kalikot district. The target beneficiaries of the program are
climate vulnerable groups. The targeted beneficiaries are 31,811 of 5,023 HHs. The major program activities
are capacity enhancement training for vulnerable community member, entrepreneurs, canal building, hi tech
nursery establishment, cold storage building etc.
